Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The article considers the directions of confessional policy in respect of the Cossacks Old Believers of North Caucasus in the context of interrelations between the central government, local elites and the Russian Orthodox Church. It is proved that in the second quarter of the XIX century in this region the all-Russian model of confessional course had characteristic differences due to the formation of new ideological conceptions by the North Caucasian elite that considered the Old Belief as a factor contributing to the successful solution of the military, social and economic problems of the Caucasian line Cossack troop.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
