Abstract
Cet article s'intéresse aux enjeux mortifères que représentent pour le vivant divers contextes de violences totalitaires. Situant l'oeuvre singulière « La douleur » dans la production littéraire de Duras, il élabore une interrogation sur les processus psychiques inconscients propres au travail de deuil et au deuil pathologique, soit la mélancolie selon Freud, Lacan et Ricoeur. Ce qui entraîne une réflexion sur la manière dont, confronté à des textes limites, non médiatisés, fortement traversés par l'imaginarisation de la mort de l'autre, le lecteur peut se trouver en position de danger. Sont ensuite résumés les temps 0 et 1 de la transmission orale passant du témoin rescapé (Antelme) au témoignaire (Moscolo) mis en position de réceptacle psychique (Jurgenson). De là, se dégage une stratification propre aux deux instances investies dans « La douleur », et qui peut se rapprocher d'une position éthique pour le sujet de l'écriture et l'instance lectorale.
