Abstract
Cet article presente une sonde d'arpentage GPS, concue et fabriquee au Centre de recherche en geomatique de l'Universite Laval, permettant de relever des points obstrues ou impossibles a relever avec les methodes GPS classiques. La sonde d'arpentage comprend deux antennes GPS disposees le long d'un jalon telescopique. La sonde s'incline afin d'eloigner les antennes des sources d'obstruction et de faciliter la reception des signaux GPS. Les coordonnees tridimensionnelles des deux antennes sont determinees par rapport a une station de reference a l'aide du GPS. En connaissant la distance entre les deux antennes sur la sonde et la distance entre une de ces antennes et la pointe du jalon, il est possible de determiner la position d'un point terrain touche par l'extremite de la sonde. Des tests terrain demontrent que la sonde d'arpentage permet d'atteindre des precisions de quelques centimetres sur les coordonnees tridimensionnelles des points releves.
