Abstract
There has been minimal domestic growth in intermodal freight transportation during the second quarter of 2015. However, members of the industry have optimism for the future. A number of elements suggest future growth, such as the improving service performance on railroads, economic growth, and problems in the trucking industry. Additionally, marketing campaigns are underway to attract customers. Class I railroads are hopeful that business will grow.
