Boyabat-Kovuklukaya: A Bronze Age settlement in the Central Black Sea Region, Turkey
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Kovuklukaya, an ancient mound site, is located some I0 km from the town of Boyabat in province of Sinop, northern Turkey. Discovered in the summer of 2002, it was excavated in a rescue operation on behalf of the Sinop Museum. Of the seven soundings and two trenches, the most interesting finds were uncovered in Sounding 5. There a building and its content provided important information pertaining to the prehistory of the Black Sea region during the period from the last quarter of third millennium BC to the first quarter of second millennium BC. A small scale step-trench in Sounding 7 at Kovuklukaya and four building levels spanning the Late Chalcolithic to Early Bronze Age II periods. A Byzantine graveyard was located at the top of the site, and finds of Early Phase of Late Iron Age were also found. Most importantly the settlement at Kovuklukaya has revealed the continuity between the Late Chalcolithic to the Middle Bronze Age I-II, the so-called Transitional Period at Bafra-Kkiztepe.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
