Abstract
Cet ouvrage s’interesse aux migrants de l’ombre. Ceux qui ne font pas les manchettes, car jamais ils n’arrivent a destination. Cette « categorie », qui n’est pas consideree comme telle par les administrations publiques, represente la majorite de ceux qui tentent de quitter leur pays d’origine. Bas Schotel definit ce candidat comme etant le « normal migrant », celui qui n’appartient pas a une categorie protegee ou qui n’est pas un travailleur hautement specialise. L’auteur rappelle que le terme etranger (« alien ») conviendrait a sa situation puisque, en se faisant refuser le droit d’entrer, cette personne restera un etranger.
