Abstract
La pratique d’une anthropologie juridique développée à propos de l’Afrique depuis une cinquantaine d’années a mis en évidence l’existence de représentations du monde, du droit et de la dette qui n’éclairent pas seulement l’originalité de cultures endogènes marquées par le communautarisme, une expérience qu’ont également connue les sociétés occidentales prémodernes. L’idée de dette infinie qui s’y déploie de manière paradigmatique comme une formule chimique ou mathématique pourrait être en outre une contribution précieuse à la compréhension de l’étendue et des conséquences des obligations intergénérationnelles propres au développement durable à l’occasion de la renaissance de communs.
