En un court laps de temps, les MOOC ont suscit de vives attentes suivies de grandes dsillusions dans les discours mdiatiques, ce qui apparait typique du dterminisme technologique avec lequel est souvent abord le domaine du numrique en ducation. Dans ce contexte, l'objectif du prsent article est d'analyser, dans une perspective critique, les discours d'articles journalistiques gnralistes en ligne sur les MOOC. Une analyse de contenu nous a permis de caractriser les discours journalistiques et d'valuer la part de dterminisme technologique dont ils ont fait l'objet dans leur traitement mdiatique. Nous en tirons finalement quelques conclusions sur la manire dont sont apprhendes socialement les innovations numriques en ducation.
