Le cinéma constitue une source importante de données sur les représentations de l’accompagnement et des pratiques des intervenants dans le champ biomédical, dont les infirmières et les infirmiers. Cet article, après une rapide rétrospective de la place de ces professionnels dans l’histoire du film, analyse plus profondément une oeuvre espagnole récente, Hable con ella (Parle avec elle) du réalisateur Pedro Almodovar. Il cerne quelques-uns des enjeux éthiques des pratiques d’accompagnement qui peuvent intervenir en milieu hospitalier lors du traitement de patients en état comateux.
