Suite à la crise politique et au conflit armé non-international ayant déchiré la Côte d’Ivoire entre novembre 2010 et mai 2011, le gouvernement d’Alassane Ouattara mit sur pied une Commission dialogue, vérité et réconciliation calquée sur le modèle des Commissions vérité et réconciliation (CVR). La réconciliation comme outil de justice transitionnelle doit surmonter certains obstacles, tant sur le plan théorique que pratique. Cette courte étude vise à soulever les enjeux entourant la pratique des CVR au moyen d’une analyse de leurs fondements théoriques et de leurs implications sur le terrain. Deux études de cas, les CVR de la Sierra Leone et du Libéria, serviront de points de comparaison pour établir les enjeux sociaux et institutionnels qui devront être pris en compte par les commissaires et décideurs ivoiriens. Il en ressort que la réconciliation est un véhicule efficace de justice transitionnelle, mais qui doit répondre à certaines nécessités résultant de leur utilisation dans un contexte post-conflit.
