Abstract
Jean-Claude St-Hilaire a enseigné au cégep de Sainte-Foy l'histoire de l'art une vingtaine d'années, la communication et le design multimédia les neuf années suivantes.Il poursuit à Québec et ailleurs ses recherches artistiques en tant qu'installateur et performeur.Il observe le milieu de l'art actuel depuis toujours.Il a participé au collectif Inter/ Le Lieu pendant plusieurs années, à la fondation de la revue Inter, art actuel (1978) et à celle du centre d'artistes Le Lieu, centre en art actuel (1982).Il collabore à ces deux entités par des textes ainsi qu'une implication personnelle et artistique.
