Ce document analyse les enjeux de l’expérience chinoise en matière de multilatéralisme. L’étude porte sur la Banque asiatique d’investissement dans les infrastructures, une nouvelle institution financière multilatérale créée par la Chine. L’initiative bénéficie d’une large participation internationale, attire l’attention et suscite beaucoup de réactions dans le monde. Elle met en exergue la politique d’affirmation de la Chine et son pouvoir d’attraction. Elle traduit surtout l’insatisfaction de ce pays par rapport aux grandes institutions financières internationales et sa volonté de trouver une plateforme de coopération qui puisse refléter son poids économique et répondre à ses intérêts. Bien que prometteuse sur le papier, la nouvelle banque révèle beaucoup d’incertitudes.
