Abstract
<p>Newmarket’s Main Street South area has been the focus of numerous large scale revitalization efforts since the early 2000’s. The goal of this Assessment is to critically examine Newmarket’s Main Street South area from both economic development and urban design perspectives, and provide strategic recommendations which will define the management and maintenance that is required to increase the economic competitiveness of the area. The recommendations include focusing on cycling tourism as a key point of differentiation.</p>
