Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

As the first quarter of 2016 closes, many are taking time to reflect on some of the challenges they are facing in their professional life. In the process, they weigh up their accomplishments and reflect on things they so badly want to change. For some, it is time for a job change and thus a new reward reality; for others it may be a contracting sector they work in, making the job rewards harder to realise; yet for others it may be the move up the corporate ladder is too far in the distant future. Whatever the motivation for change, there are a number of issues which should be taken into account in order to gain a better understanding of your actual current reward reality, to ensure the one negotiated in the future meets all expectations.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
