Abstract
Dès la création de ses premières cellules d’action au début des années soixante, le Front de libération du Québec (FLQ) lance un organe de liaison - La Cognée - dans lequel deux courants de pensée, desquels découleront deux philosophies de l’action, en viendront à s’affronter. Le premier courant - millénariste - s’inspire explicitement du marxisme et conçoit son action dans un temps long de l’Histoire alors que le second - spontanéiste -semble souscrire aux préceptes de la contre-culture et se montre pressé de commettre des gestes d’éclat qui secoueront les consciences québécoises endormies par l’élection de l’Union nationale de Daniel Johnson en 1966. Le présent article propose une description de ces deux courants de pensée et tente une interprétation de la victoire du second courant.
