Abstract
Cette étude porte sur la représentation de la sexualité dans la première saison de la populaire télésérie québécoise Unité 9 (2012-2013). L’analyse de segments-clés de la série met en avant la complexité des identités sexuelles, de même que la marginalisation du milieu carcéral féminin dans lequel la sexualité peut être vécue et comprise comme « déviante », notamment en référence à la norme hétérosexuelle en vigueur à l’extérieur des murs. Tirant profit des réflexions de Judith Butler, et plus largement des approches sociologiques, féministes et queer de la représentation de la sexualité, l’analyse permet entre autres de cerner dans quelle mesure les désirs et pratiques sexuelles peuvent s’éloigner (temporairement ou non) de l’orientation sexuelle vécue avant l’incarcération. C’est-à-dire comment l’isolement et le confinement peuvent modifier les comportements sexuels des femmes incarcérées, et, conséquemment, bouleverser leur identité sexuelle.
