Avec les difficultes que rencontrent les exploitants miniers, les constructeurs doivent s'adapter. Parmi ceux-ci, Liebherr maintient ses investissements un peu partout a travers le monde dans ses structures de vente et de maintenance, que ce soit en Australie, en Nouvelle-Zelande ou au Canada. En France, l'entreprise est la seule a produire des pelles minieres de 100 a 800 tonnes en ordre de marche, a Colmar. Si la conjoncture a amene le constructeur a moins produire, il continue de croire en l'avenir de la mine.
