Une etude comparative d'un certain nombre de recits quebecois, franco-canadiens, et metis issus de differentes epoques, mais ayant en commun de traiter d'une personne transformee en loup-garou. La mise en rapport de ces corpus servira a rappeler que, d'origine viking-francaise, ces recits ont voyage de la France jusqu'a maintes communautes francophones nord-americaines, via le Quebec et ce, en grande partie grâce aux voyageurs et coureurs-des-bois qui ont su etablir des rapports empreints d'amitie et de respect avec differentes communautes autochtones du continent nord-americain.
