Abstract
Paul Almond | 1931-2015 : Cinéaste québécois anglophone.Après des études à Oxford, il réalisa pour les télés britanniques ou canadiennes des dramatiques (dont Macbeth mettant en vedette Sean Connery, alors peu connu) et des documentaires, dont Seven Up !(sur des Britanniques de 7 ans), série continuée depuis, à tous les sept ans, par Michael Apted.Il écrivit et mit en scène une trilogie mettant en vedette son épouse Geneviève Bujold : Isabel, Act of the Heart et Journey.Depuis les années 1990, il était devenu romancier, transformant l'histoire de sa famille dans The Alford Saga.Il avait gagné de nombreux prix pour ses oeuvres télévisuelles ou cinématographiques.La Guilde canadienne des réalisateurs lui décerna en 2007 son prix pour l'ensemble de son oeuvre.
