Abstract
Quantum-entangled photon pair sources are one of the key building blocks for applications\nin quantum metrology, quantum information processing and computing, and quantum\nkey distribution (QKD). The generation of entangled photon pairs in various forms (ie\npolarization entanglement, energy-time entanglement and time-bin entanglement) has been\ndemonstrated through spontaneous parametric downconversion (SPDC) in diverse second-\norder nonlinear media (eg bulk nonlinear crystals).
