Abstract
En contexte de globalisation, la dualité des économies bâties, d’une part, sur la classique verticalité des échanges internationalement régulés et, d’autre part, sur l’horizontalité « entre pauvres » hors contrôles étatiques, est mondialement apparue pour des produits vestimentaires et électroniques. C’est ainsi que des milliards de dollars de marchandises « d’entrée de gamme » produites dans le Sud-Est asiatique sont vendues sans taxes, via Dubaï, en Europe auprès des populations pauvres par des transmigrants moyen-orientaux. Cet article décrit, à partir d’une recherche récente (Tarrius, Missaoui et Qacha, 2013) comment ces transmigrants offrent aux grandes firmes mondiales le vaste marché des pauvres en passant en Europe des produits totalement hors taxes et hors contingentements. Cette description permet à l’auteur de discuter des notions clés qui rendent compte de ces divers phénomènes : initiatives économiques, invisibilisation, mobilités, conscience migratoire.
