Ce dossier interroge les rapports intimes entre langage et politique en partant de l’hypothèse que le pouvoir du langage ou sa performativité est inséparable d’un investissement du langage par le pouvoir. Un tel questionnement sémiopolitique ne serait pas complet s’il ne venait pas à affronter la question de la limite où il semble remis en question. C’est l’expérience de la littérature, prise entre le pouvoir et l’impouvoir, la mobilisation et l’épuisement, du langage, qui apparaît comme cette frontière à interroger. Les textes rassemblés dans ce dossier abordent l’un ou l’autre de ces deux axes de réflexion selon des perspectives riches et variées qui laissent peut-être suggérer qu’entre pouvoir et impouvoir du langage, il n’est pas certain qu’il en aille d’une alternative.
