Esta es una traducción al español del texto Etnografía y ficción: ficciones de la etnografía de Sherry Simon y Gilles Bibeau, publicado originalmente en francés en la revista Antropologie et sociétés, (2004: 7-13). El cual presenta los entrecruzamientos ineludibles entre antropología y literatura en la contemporaneidad (Clifford Marcus 1986, Geertz 1988) y reseña una serie de investigaciones actuales que continúan estos rumbos. Una invitación a pensar el potencial epistemológico y poético de las escrituras etnográfica y literaria entrecruzadas.
