Abstract
Pour une majorité d’automobilistes, l’autoroute du Soleil est le trait d’union entre la France du Nord et celle du Midi. Associé à l’évasion et aux vacances, son paysage annonce peu à peu les marques d’une atmosphère nouvelle. Mais certains l’emprunteront la nuit tombée. L’objectif de cet article est de montrer à quel point le paysage nocturne génère un rythme spatial original (zones d’ombre, éclairage) révélateur de l’inégal dynamisme des territoires le long de cet axe, tandis que la transition entre Nord et Midi se caractérise par des expériences sensorielles plus intenses (aires).
