Abstract
De nombreuses tombes creusées dans la roche ont été découvertes dans les montagnes côtières de la Syrie. Leur datation ainsi que les rites funéraires associés nous sont généralement inconnus. À l’occasion d’une découverte faite en 2005 sur le versant sud du village d’al‑Thawra, au sud-est de Jablé (l’antique cité de Gabala), une tombe a été minutieusement fouillée. Cette opération archéologique livre des informations sur l’occupation humaine de la région durant la période protobyzantine.
