El análisis de los testimonios epigráficos de los yacimientos del valle de Cabrera de Mar muestra un dominio absoluto de la escritura ibérica sobre la latina, no sólo en el oppidum de Burriac, sino también en el asentamiento tardo-republicano situado en el actual casco urbano de Cabrera de Mar, ambos probablemente identificados con el topónimo ibérico Ilduro. Aunque la presencia en el asentamiento tardo-republicano de edificios públicos y privados de estilo itálico indican que su población se encuentra fuertemente influenciada por el estilo de vida y la cultura itálica, la presencia de inhumaciones de fetos humanos documentadas en niveles fundacionales y, especialmente, los documentos epigráficos, apuntan que incluso en el asentamiento tardo-republicano, el valle de Cabrera de Mar mantenía durante el s. II a. C. y hasta la primera mitad del s. I a. C. un marcado carácter ibérico.
