Abstract
In this paper, I consider the politics of bodily and embodied identity as they emerge in the lived experience of racial and ethnic hybridity. I confront the tensions that emerge when the data of the bodily self encounters the lived subjectivities of the embodied self. I employ an autoethnographic approach that weaves together memory work with autobiographical writings on hybridity and mixture and critical scholarship in life writing.
