Dans cet article, Sherrill Grace explore les liens entre la vie de l’auteur canadien Timothy Findley et les documents d’archive qu’il a utilisés pour ses œuvres de fiction traitant de la Première et de la Deuxième Guerre Mondiale : le roman emblématique des débuts, The Wars ; son chef d’œuvre Famous Last Words ; son exploration de la guerre sur le front canadien dans The Piano Man’s Daughter ; et deux nouvelles situées en France.
