Cet article prsente les fondements thoriques d'un cours labor dans le cadre de la formation initiale des enseignants de franais au secondaire l'Universit Laval de Qubec. Nous prsenterons les fondements thoriques de notre dispositif de formation qui s'inscrit dans la perspective de l'interactionnisme sociodiscursif, dans lequel le concept de genre discursif est central. Utilis de manire itrative dans deux cours obligatoires de didactique de l' criture de 45 heures chacun, ce dispositif a t adapt au fil des ans dans le but d'articuler l' enseignement de savoirs thoriques sur l' criture avec des pratiques permettant de dvelopper les habilets des futurs enseignants planifier, produire, rviser et rcrire divers textes de genres non littraires qu'ils auront enseigner. titre d'illustration du cadre thorique prsent, nous dcrirons les tapes d'une dmarche de formation l' enseignement du texte d' opinion argumente pour des lves de 5e anne du secondaire (16-17 ans).
