Abstract
Este artigo busca analisar, por meio de uma abordagem qualitativa, os conteúdos comunicacionais do portal institucional Voyage.gc.ca. A análise os dados analisados revelam que a violência e criminalidade urbana, assim como a figura estereotipada do malandro brasileiro são os principais objetos de informação divulgadas pelo governo canadense para turistas com destino ao BrasilPalavras-chave: comunicação digital; imaginário turístico; estrangeiros.
