Abstract
Im Rahmen einer placebokontrollierten Blindstudie wurde die Wirksamkeit des Impfstoffes Insol Dermatophyton (Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica GmbH) geprft. Es wurden 12 Pferde mit einem Krpergewicht von 350 kg -400 kg mit 6 ausgewhlten Hautpilzstmmen unter definierten Bedingungen knstlich infiziert. 90 % der infizierten Hautstellen zeigten nach 2 -3 Wochen das typische klinische Bild einer Dermatophytose. Die aktive Immunisierung erfolgte durch die intramuskulre Applikation von 0,3 ml des inaktivierten polyvalenten Impfstoffes an 6 gem einer Randomisierungsliste ausgewhlten Pferden. Die Erstimpfung erfolgte am Tag der knstlichen Infektion, die Zweitimpfung 14 Tage spter. Als Kontrollen dienten 6 Pferde, denen physiologische Kochsalzlsung appliziert
