La rencontre avec l’« Autre » dans la lecture d’œuvres francophones adressées à la jeunesse : modalités, réception et perspectives

Abstract
La lecture d’albums francophones destinés à la jeunesse est encore peu répandue dans l’enseignement-apprentissage du FLE. Nous avons proposé dans une démarche innovante l’introduction de deux ouvrages de ce type, l’un suisse, l’autre québécois, à des niveaux peu élevés de maîtrise de la langue cible. Notre recherche a été conduite auprès de 26 apprenants d’ab initio de français langue étrangère à l’Australian National University (Canberra). L’objectif était d’obtenir des informations quant à la réception de ces ouvrages spécifiques. Après avoir présenté le contexte de la recherche et l’intérêt didactique des deux albums retenus, nous présentons les résultats de l’analyse de questionnaires distribués en fin de parcours de lecture. Ces résultats informent sur la réception des albums retenus ainsi que sur l’engagement des jeunes adultes dans la lecture de ces œuvres iconotextuelles francophones.
