Abstract
La relation entre espace et bande dessinée peut être abordée sous deux angles complémentaires, à savoir: (1) comment la bande dessinée représente l’espace et (2) la nature spatiale de la planche et de la double planche. Cette articulation des deux niveaux rend bien compte de la complexité du rapport entre la bande dessinée et l’espace, puisque celui-ci a en fait une double nature, réelle et symbolique, là où l’espace représenté est dessiné sur un espace que l’on pourrait qualifier de “représentant”. Nous allons développer cette réflexion en analysant quelques albums récents réalisés par des auteurs vivant et travaillant à Montréal et que nous avons classés – en nous appuyant notamment sur des textes théoriques issus de la géographie sociale et de la linguistique urbaine – en trois catégories: les albums centrés sur le territoire, les albums centrés sur les lieux, les albums centrés sur les non lieux.
