Abstract
Cet article propose d’analyser la manière dont la notion de « vieillissement actif » a été progressivement mobilisée pour développer un cadre d’analyse international permettant d’agir sur l’adaptation des territoires au vieillissement. À travers la démarche « Villes amies des aînés » ( vada ) – ou Age Friendly Cities – développée massivement par l’ oms , il s’agit d’observer les principes qui prévalent au niveau international et sont mis en œuvre sur le plan local. Au-delà de cette première base de lecture, l’article s’attache à montrer comment un cadre d’application a priori standard peut être décliné de manière plurielle dans trois contextes nationaux différents : les États-Unis, la France et le Québec. Enfin, l’article s’efforcera de saisir les atouts et les limites de ce modèle dans le développement d’une politique plus inclusive en matière de vieillissement.
