Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This paper explores some key electrochemical aspects associated to the corrosion of API-X100 steel in aerated carbonate solutions. Investigated by polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests, the corrosion rates and potentials, the cathodic reactions, and passivation are studied from the perspectives of carbonate content and temperature. The corrosion rates, more sensitive to temperature, were between 12 and 18 μA cm-2, and the corrosion potentials decreased with carbonate content and increased with temperature. And reported for the first time, bicarbonate, which resulted from the CO2-/H O equilibrium, contributed to the cathodic reactions, and in a manner more significant with carbonate content. The passive films showed evidence that they became more compact with carbonate content, and so with did the lower charge transfer resistance.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
