Abstract
The article is devoted to Professorial institute's graduates. The Professoral institute was founded in the first quarter of 19th century at Dorpat university in order to accomplish prompt training of professors of new formation for Russian universities. The author analyzes their contribution to the development of Russian pedagogy of highest school, which includes implementation of new forms of classes, involving students to researching activities, preparation of teaching aids. Special attention is paid to analyze of pedagogical activities of young professors in pedagogical institutes, which were opened at universities, contribution of Professorial institute's graduates to the development of theoretical bases of Russian pedagogy. Russian professors of new formation realized themselves to be not only teachers and scientist, but also an essential part of cultural life of their times. The reflection of experience in their activities was aimed to keep traditions of university education in Russia.
