Abstract
This study aims to develop strategies for improving the affective characteristics of Korean students based on results from international achievement tests. It introduces best practice cases for improving students` affective characteristics in Canada and Singapore, and excellent cases are analyzed in terms of curriculum, teaching and learning, evaluation, and school environment. This study also presents suggestions for education in Korea made by educators from Canada and Singapore.
