Abstract
Este artigo é uma reflexão sobre o lugar da narrativa no ensino e no aprendizado da história. No Québec, província francófona do Canadá, ainda que a narrativa na aula de história tenha sofrido importantes mudanças a partir dos anos 1960, é durante a implementação da reforma dos anos 2000, baseada na abordagem por competências e no (socio)construtivismo, que esta questão, assim como a do ensino da história em geral, vem sacudir o mundo da educação. Logo, duas visões opostas se confrontam em relação à função da história na escola: a do seu ensino e a do lugar da narrativa neste aprendizado. Conscientes desta polêmica, tentaremos apreender então o lugar que ocupa a narrativa na história acadêmica, na história escolar e no seu ensino.
