Può sembrare una tautologia parlare di « eredità feudale » nei primi Parlamenti, essendo che tanto la Magna Carta del re d’Inghilterra Giovanni (15 giugno 1215) quanto i primi documenti « parlamentari » del patriarca di Aquileia Bertoldo (14 agosto 1228 e 14 luglio 1231) si inseriscono in un quadro di sovranità feudale, nel quale cioè tutti i sudditi erano formalmente legati da una fidelitas al sovrano ; e nei libri di storia l’aggettivo « feudale » è solitamente attribuito sia alla monarchia...
