Abstract
El presente trabajo intenta evaluar la importancia relativa de los factores que influyen sobre la felicidad y el bienestar subjetivo de las personas. Este trata de medir los factores que hacen que las personas sean más felices y cómo el contexto cultural influye en la percepción de felicidad. Se utiliza análisis conjunto que considera como variables independientes, el nivel de ingreso, seguridad, redes sociales, educación y estabilidad laboral. Los resultados sugieren que tanto en Chile como en Canadá el ingreso y la estabilidad laboral son los dos factores más relevantes para explicar la felicidad siendo en el caso de Chile ambos factores igualmente importantes y en Canadá el ingreso prácticamente duplica en importancia a la estabilidad laboral.
