Abstract

The paper deals with samples of urban reconstruction of historical urban blocks of the cities greatly damaged during the Second World War. Specific features of combinations of new architectural forms with those existed in the historic city system are singled out. Special attention is paid to the changes in volume planning structure of the quarter development and its interrelation with architectural solutions.
