Abstract
The synthesis of benzimidazole and benzotriazole based dicationic sulphonophanes incorporating various spacer units is described. The result of the antimicrobial studies of sulphonophanes correlates well with the molecular docking studies performed on protein DNA gyrase B from Escherichia coli. Further, the theoretical evaluations of ADMET properties reveal that the dicationic sulphonophanes could be good candidates as antibacterial and antifungal.
