Abstract
Introdução: A doença renal crônica (DRC) é um problema de saúde pública em todo o mundo, por ter alto índice de mortalidade, principalmente por complicações cardiovasculares. Casuística: avaliar o impacto na qualidade de vida e no sono em pacientes renais crônicos hipertensos em tratamento hemodialítico e que referiam dor torácica. Casuística e Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, exploratório de corte transversal realizado com 46 pacientes com doença renal crônica e doença cardiovascular, que referiam dor torácica em tratamento de hemodiálise. Foram aplicados o Questionário Genérico de Qualidade de Vida Whoqol--bref e o Índice de qualidade de sono de Pittsburg. Para avaliar a dor foi usado o questionário de dor McGill e o Inventário breve de dor. Os dados foram submetidos à análise estatística, com nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: Dentre os pacientes havia mais homens (67,4%), média de 61,9 ±15,8 anos e o tipo de dor mais prevalente foi a sensitiva(24,5). Houve comprometimento na qualidade do sono. Evidenciou-se prejuízo na qualidade de vida, demonstrando menores escores nos domínios físico e psicológico e intensidade de dor moderada. Conclusão: Fatores como a dor, sono e qualidade de vida são aspectos importantes de pessoas com doenças graves e limitantes que se submetem a tratamentos prolongados e dolorosos, portanto devem ser sistematicamente avaliados.
