Abstract
Cet article présente les résultats d’une recherche qui s’intéresse aux fonctions et aux démarches présentes dans la représentation sociale de l’évaluation des apprentissages chez des finissants en éducation préscolaire et en enseignement primaire. Les résultats issus de l’enquête selon la méthode de l’évocation hiérarchisée menée auprès de 42 finissants mettent en évidence que l’évaluation ayant comme fonction la régulation de l’apprentissage fait partie du noyau central de la représentation sociale. Cependant, pour s’adapter à la réalité de la salle de classe, la régulation se fait encore dans une démarche avant tout sommative et vise principalement la certification. La conclusion propose une réflexion autour de l’idéal théorique qu’est l’évaluation comme soutien à l’apprentissage et de son adaptation à la réalité en salle de classe.
