Abstract

${\mathrm{SrMg}}_{x}{\mathrm{Ru}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{O}}_{3}$ ceramics for $0&lt;~x&lt;~0.15$ have been prepared by conventional solid-state reaction. The samples have been studied by x-ray diffraction, dc resistivity, magnetic susceptibility, and optical reflectance. Mg substitution produces little change in the lattice parameters and does not destroy the ferromagnetic transition but renders the material insulating.
