Abstract
Que se passe-t-il lorsque la « littérature sauvage » trouve des passeurs dans le champ institué? Tel est le cas des graffitis dans l’oeuvre de Yannick Haenel, au sein de laquelle des phrases rapportées occupent toujours un rôle central, constituant la force motrice de l’écriture. Plusieurs de ses romans (Cercle,Les renards pâles,Je cherche l’Italie) intègrent à leurs intrigues des tags qui proviennent des murs des villes que parcourent les narrateurs haeneliens.Les Renards pâles, publié en 2013, exploite tout particulièrement ce processus. Les différents graffitis retranscrits et insérés dans la textualité du roman, loin de perdre leur statut « sauvage » en rentrant dans le rang de la forme livresque institutionnalisée, viennent, en tant que « phrases-talismans » investies d’une puissance sacrée, nourrir et renforcer l’aspect « vif » de l’écriture de l’écrivain français. Cette pratique scripturale singulière se voit également insuffler une portée politique – elle permet de rejouer deux notions déterminantes du politique : l’identité et la communauté –, mais surtout révolutionnaire et anarchique, en ouvrant à une autre voie, celle du symbolique.
