Sectores económicos de potencial aplicación de las patentes de nanotecnologías en México

Abstract
Las nanotecnologías se investigan en México desde los noventa y se han expandido rápidamente a todos los sectores económicos. Uno de los indicadores más utilizados para medir la innovación y la competitividad es la patente. Al registrar una patente se le asigna uno o varios códigos bajo criterios técnicos-ingenieriles y para uso jurídico; sin embargo, se pueden establecer correlaciones entre estos códigos y los sectores económicos. En este estudio utilizamos el método dg de concordancia para establecer la clasificación sectorial de las 217 patentes mexicanas de nanotecnologías registradas entre 1993 y 2014. Concluimos que la mayoría de las patentes se desarrolla en sectores ligados a ciencia básica, y cuatro sectores económicos concentran más del 70% de las patentes.
