Abstract
Bartłomiej Gherardyni był synem kupca korzennego Kamila Gherardyniego II (Camillo Gherardini, Gerardini), zmarłego między 27 VIII a 5 IX 1705 r., i Marianny z Delpacych 1 .Jego ojciec otrzymał krakowskie prawo miejskie 28 VI 1664 r. za wstawiennictwem ławnika krakowskiego, późniejszego rajcy Jana Gaudentego Zacherli 2 .Rozgałęziona rodzina Gherardynich pochodziła z Florencji, należała do miejscowej szlachty 3 .Z czasem przedstawiciele jej licznych linii osiedli poza Florencją i Toskanią w innych krajach włoskich, jak Księstwo Modeny, Księstwo Mediolanu, czy Emilia-Romagna w Państwie Kościelnym 4 .Rodzinami włoskimi pochodzącymi z Florencji o podobnym statusie, jak Gherardyniowie, były familie: Bandinellichrodzina osiadła w Krakowie, Warszawie i Lwowie, protoplasta jej polskiej gałęzi, Robert Bandinelli był wnukiem rzeźbiarza Baccio (Bartholomeo) Bandinellego; Montelupich -rodzina osiadła w Krakowie, z czasem weszła w szeregi szlachty; Attavantich i Ubaldinich -przedstawiciele obu rodzin osiadli we Lwowie; czy wreszcie związane z kręgami dworskimi rodziny Guccich i Strozzich 5 .Z Florencją 1 ANK, AMK, rkps 41, s. 1453. 2 ANK, AMK, Cathalogus civium cracoviensium primi ordinis 1634-1794, s. 8-9.Kamil Gherardyni zobowiązał się w ciągu 12 dni dostarczyć swoją genealogię, a także zapłacił 30 talarów i 14 złotych na proch oraz sprawił bombardę.3 Jednym z krewnych ojca Józefa Bartłomieja Gherardyniego był włoski malarz Alessandro Gherardini (1655-1726) -http://www.treccani.it/
