ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian tentang distribusi konduktivitas listrik pada patahan Sumatera, segmen Aceh berdasarkan interpretasi 2D data Magnetotellurik (MT). Alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah MTU-5A buatan Phonix Geophysic, Canada, dengan range frekuensi yang digunakan yaitu mulai dari 1.02-320 Hz. Pengukuran dilakukan pada 2 lintasan yang memotong jalur Patahan Sumatera, Lintasan pertama (Lintasan Cb) sepanjang 89 Km dan Lintasan kedua (Lintasan Db) 120 Km. Data yang diukur berupa dua komponen medan lisrik dan tiga komponen medan magnetik, kemudian data yang didapat diubah menjadi nilai resistivitas semu dan fase. Berdasarkan nilai resistivitas semu dan fase yang didapat dijadikan sebagai input untuk pemodelan dengan menggunakan code MT2DInv. Berdasarkan model yang diperoleh maka dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa keberadaan patahan Sumatera Segmen Aceh dan Segmen Seulimuem dapat dipetakan. Geometri patahan umumnya dicirikan oleh zona resistivitas rendah, Pada Lintasan Cb zona resistivitas rendah berbentuk agak vertikal pada jarak 40 km (titik Cb5) diduga sebagai Segmen Aceh dan pada jarak 80 km (titik C5M) sebagai Segmen Seulimuem. Sedangkan pada Lintasan Db keberadaan lokasi patahan diduga berada pada jarak 60-80 km (titik D5).Kata kunci: Magnetotellurik, Resistivitas rendah, Pemodelan 2D, Patahan.ABSTRACTIt has been performed an electrical conductivity research on Sumatran Fault of Aceh Segment based on the 2D magnetotelluric (MT) data interpretation. The instrument for acquisition data was MTU-SA from Phoenix Geophysics, Canada with work frequency about 1.02 until 320 Hz. The two lines of profile measurement were almost perpendicular with the presumed geological strike direction of Sumatran Fault. The first line (Cb line) was 89 kilometers long and the second line (Db line) along 120 kilometers. The measurements data were two components of electric fields and three components of magnetic fields, afterwards, the data were transferred became the value of the apparent resistivies and phases. The apparent resistivity and phase values therefore become modeling input by using MT2DInv code. The models were descript and mapped of the presence of Sumatran Fault (Aceh and Seulimuem segments). The fault geometry was generally characterized by low resistivity zone. On the Cb line, the low resistivity zone were tend to vertically shaped in 40 kilometers of distance (Cb5 point), estimated as Aceh segment and in 80 kilometers (C5M) as Seulimuem segment. In Db line of profile, the fault location were estimated in 60-80 kilometers of distances (D5 point)Keywords: magnetotelluric, low resistivity, 2D modeling, fault.
