Spanish Abstract: Despues de dos decadas de apertura economica Colombia continua apostandole a la internacionalizacion de su economia a traves de integraciones bilaterales o multilaterales. Por lo tanto, en el marco del Tratado de Libre Comercio (TLC) con Canada, y con el fin de contribuir al analisis regional, el presente articulo identifica los productos del Valle del Cauca que muestran oportunidades de expansion en el mercado canadiense. Para ello, se aplican a mas de cinco mil subpartidas arancelarias los siguientes indicadores: el Indice de Ventaja Comparativa Revelada (IVCR), el Indice de Balanza Comercial Relativa (IBCR) y el Indice de Intensidad Importadora (III). Los resultados revelan una importante cantidad de productos regionales con oportunidades de ingreso a Canada, entre los que se destacan, en su gran mayoria, los bienes de origen manufacturero. Especialmente, 117 segmentos economicos muestran fuertes posibilidades de penetrar el mercado canadiense. English Abstract: After two decades of open economy, Colombia remains committed to the internationalization of its economy through bilateral or multilateral integration. Therefore, under the free trade agreement (FTA) with Canada and to contribute to regional analysis, this article identifies the products of Valle del Cauca that shows interesting growth opportunities in the Canadian market. For them apply to more than five thousand tariff sub-item the following indicators: The Index of Revealed Comparative Advantage (IRCA) and the Rate of Import Intensity (III). The results reveal a significant amount of regional products with income opportunities, among which stand out in their great majority, home goods manufacturing. Specifically, 117 segments show strong economic ability to penetrate the Canadian market.
